FSC

FSC is an independent, international organization that works for economic and sustainable responsibility in the area of global forestry. FSC cares about and protects threatened species of animals, trees, soil quality, indigenous communities’ rights and good labor conditions for those working in the forests.

Fairtrade is an independent organization. Their goal is to work for better wages and quality of life for farmers and workers in developing countries. Fairtrade works to ensure and improve minimal wages for workers and guaranteed fair payment for products. They also work for human rights from a CSR perspective. They contribute to long term agreements between suppliers and buyers to secure a good life for everyone.

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is an international symbol applied to clothes and textiles that comply with the highest social and environmental standards. GOTS monitors the entire production chain from plant to manufactured product. At least 70 percent of the fibers must be organic.

Authorized, independent science- and testing institutes for textiles test fabrics to ensure that the product does not contain dangerous chemicals. Oeko-Tex® 1000 does not admit any kind of pigment or other substance dangerous for the environment in the production process. Certification requires energy efficiency in the whole manufacturing process and high standard working conditions.
