Products that have been certified and approved by independent organizations is displayed with the symbol of that organization.
FSC
FSC is an independent, international organization that works for economic and sustainable responsibility in the area of global forestry. FSC cares about and protects threatened species of animals, trees, soil quality, indigenous communities’ rights and good labor conditions for those working in the forests.
Fairtrade
Fairtrade is an independent organization. Their goal is to work for better wages and quality of life for farmers and workers in developing countries. Fairtrade works to ensure and improve minimal wages for workers and guaranteed fair payment for products. They also work for human rights from a CSR perspective. They contribute to long term agreements between suppliers and buyers to secure a good life for everyone.
GOTS
Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is an international symbol applied to clothes and textiles that comply with the highest social and environmental standards. GOTS monitors the entire production chain from plant to manufactured product. At least 70 percent of the fibers must be organic.
Nordic EcoLabel
The Nordic Swan Ecolabel works for sustainable solutions based on a life cycle assessment of a product. The overall goal is to reduce the environmental impact from production and consumption of goods. Nordic Swan Ecolabel requirements are very clear and very extensive.
It is an official, independent and 3rd party certification organization.
Oeko-Tex
Authorized, independent science- and testing institutes for textiles test fabrics to ensure that the product does not contain dangerous chemicals. Oeko-Tex® 1000 does not admit any kind of pigment or other substance dangerous for the environment in the production process. Certification requires energy efficiency in the whole manufacturing process and high standard working conditions.
Plastic Bank
Plastic Bank® empowers the world to stop ocean plastic while improving the lives of collector communities. Plastic Bank builds ethical recycling ecosystems in coastal communities and reprocesses the materials for reintroduction into the global manufacturing supply chain. Collectors receive a premium for the materials they collect which helps them provide basic family necessities such as groceries, school tuition, and health insurance. GRS
The Global Recycle Standard (GRS) is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions. The GRS is intended to meet the needs of companies looking to verify the recycled content of their products (both finished and intermediate) and to verify responsible social, environmental and chemical practices in their production. The objectives of the GRS are to define requirements to ensure accurate content claims and good working conditions, and that harmful environmental and chemical impacts are minimized.
WRAP
Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) is the world’s largest factory-based certification programme for manufacturers of clothing, footwear and other sewn products. The WRAP programme certifies facilities for compliance with the 12 WRAP Principles which assure safe, legal and ethical manufacturing processes.
